Certified Pre-Owned Chevy Dealer

Blossom Chevrolet has an advantage over most other Indianapolis dealerships in that we are a Certified Pre-Owned Chevy dealer, which means we are authorized to sell vehicles that adhere to Chevy’s CPO benchmarks. These vehicles are unlike other used models, which can sometimes have mysterious pasts; all Chevy CPOs must meet a strict grading standard to be considered for the program, and these models provide buyers with the very best of the pre-owned market.

What Benefits Do You Get With a CPO Chevy?

Our CPO models are unquestionably reliable and of impeccable quality, which gives added peace of mind to drivers who want a like-new vehicle but for far less than a new vehicle typically costs. So, what makes them so special, and what can you expect to find?

Age & Miles

There are many different benefits drivers get when they purchase a Certified Pre-Owned Chevy, and these ensure that each vehicle will be a reliable choice for years to come—and we do mean "years" since no CPO Chevy can be more than six years in age. Since we often measure a vehicle’s age not only in years but in miles driven, no vehicle can make it into the program if it has more than 75,000 miles on it. This helps make sure that any CPO Chevy still has palpable longevity left to live.

Clean Titles

Another essential checkmark every CPO Chevy needs is a clean title. If there have been any significant incidents in the vehicle’s past, it’s no longer eligible to be certified for the program. Incidents that would make a vehicle ineligible include major accidents, a salvage title, flood damage, theft recovery, and no liens, and it goes without saying the model must be road-legal. Having a clean title is the first overarching measure Chevy puts in place to weed out any less-than-stellar used models from being accepted into its CPO program.

Powertrain Limited Warranty

Every CPO Chevy comes with a warranty that goes beyond the original one offered when the vehicle was new. This special Powertrain Limited Warranty extends the scope to include components of the powertrain, like the engine and the transmission. These components can be expensive to replace if something were to go wrong, so having a warranty that’s valid for six years or 100,000 miles—whichever comes first—can come in handy in the unlikely event something goes wrong. Chevy is so confident in the quality of their CPO vehicles that they commit to covering the cost with a $0 deductible if the powertrain fails!

We offer roadside assistance and courtesy transportation during the timeframe of your limited warranty, too, should you need our services. And if you decide to sell your CPO Chevy, this warranty stays attached to the vehicle and, therefore, retains more of its value over its life.

Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty

This warranty is a bonus for folks who are worried about protecting themselves against unexpected repair costs on their new vehicle. This protection goes beyond the manufacturer’s original warranties. Unlike the Powertrain Warranty, which only covers the powertrain components, the Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty covers most of the other components in your CPO vehicle. These are things like the electrical, audio, climate, and tech features (like the infotainment system) that so many newer models are full of.

It’s important to review the user manual for your CPO model to know its proper usage and driving guidelines so you can ensure it stays in great condition. For example, if you’re doing donuts in your neighborhood and something breaks, you’re probably not going to be covered. This warranty protects against things that are out of your control and shouldn’t happen.

Certified Pre-Owned vs Pre-Owned

There are loads of benefits when you decide to go with a Certified Pre-Owned Chevy, and getting peace of mind about powertrain and bumper-to-bumper warranties is only a start. You’re also likely to be able to get better financing options with a CPO vehicle as opposed to a traditional used model; this is because a CPO model is a less risky investment for the bank (and for you) since it's been evaluated professionally and deemed comparable to a newer model.

When deciding between a CPO and a used vehicle, most people try to weigh the slightly higher price point of a CPO against the potential value that its certification brings. We prefer CPOs for the rigorous vetting process and its warranties, as these vehicles are less likely to need repairs and are more inclined to be covered if they do need them.

What Does Chevy’s 172-Point CPO Inspection Entail?

At Blossom Chevrolet, we do an extensive inspection of every Chevy model that makes its way into our CPO inventory. There are 172 items checked in this inspection, making it one of the most thorough in the industry. We check every nook and cranny of our vehicles, going under the hood and seats and even peering under the floor mats; not so much as a scratch makes it past our technicians.

Our skilled professionals test each vehicle's capabilities on the road and make sure everything is operating satisfactorily. We don’t pull any punches, so you can be sure your CPO is functioning optimally before you decide to buy. Some of the categories tested or reviewed during the 172-point inspection process include the vehicle's owner history, its maintenance history, its tires and brakes, its detailing, its driveability, the integrity of its comfort and convenience features, its underside, interior, and exterior, its engine, and any hybrid components, if applicable.
