A Used Chevy for All Your Indy Favorites

Here at Blossom Chevrolet, we love Indianapolis. We have been a part of the landscape of central Indiana for over 50 years and have enjoyed growing with the Circle City over the decades. As the best used Chevrolet dealership in the area, we know exactly which used Chevys are the best for taking you and yours to all the best family-friendly venues here in our great city. Chevrolet is American car manufacturing at its best, and the Suburban, Traverse, Silverado, and Corvette prove that there is a Chevy for every family, no matter where your journey takes you. At Blossom Chevrolet, we’ll find you exactly which used Chevy is best for you and your family.
The Chevy Suburban and the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis
A used Chevy Suburban is the way to go when you want to take the whole crew out for a day at a museum. The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis has indoor and outdoor attractions and exhibits to entertain and educate your kids, including a 43-foot-tall Chihuly sculpture with over 3,200 individually blown glass pieces to be enjoyed by children and art appreciators of all ages. This is just one of the many places in Indianapolis to explore in your Suburban.
Whether you’ve booked a birthday party or are just looking for a day of fun, the Suburban is a great way to get the whole gang around town, with its seating for nine, an upscale interior, and handling like a luxury sedan. The eleventh generation of the Suburban was introduced in 2015, and tweaks and upgrades were added each year. While a twelfth generation hit the scene in 2021, a used 2019 Suburban is a particularly excellent choice when it comes to balancing affordability with perks like standard LED running lights and the availability of high-end benefits like heated and ventilated seats.
The Chevy Suburban is known for having the ability to carry a lot of people and a lot of stuff, but also for its upscale interior. While you can carry the whole team and have over 39 cu.ft. of cubic storage space, you also have standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, standard Teen Driver features, and enjoyable cornering and engine responsiveness. High-end finishes make its large cabin comfortable for everyone, from the driver to those in the third row of seats.
The Chevy Traverse and Rhythm! Discovery Center
If your family loves feeling the beat at the Rhythm! Discovery Center, they’ll love the sound system in a used Traverse. In case you haven’t experienced Rhythm! yet, it is the world’s foremost interactive drum and percussion museum––and it’s right here! Far from a formal, “no touching” museum, Rhythm! is a fantastic mix of historical artifacts and interactive displays that let you and your family experience for yourselves just how great it feels to tap, strike, and beat a tune.
When your family is a fan of feeling that beat, you’ll want to check out a used Chevy Traverse. While many vehicles have optional premium sound systems, the Traverse is one of the rare few that has an available ten-speaker Bose system, complete with a Richbass subwoofer. Each of these high-performance speakers was carefully placed in a coordinated effort between Bose and Chevy for optimal sound design in the Traverse’s cabin. In addition, the Traverse has active sound management, which uses harmonic cancellation to create the perfect interior sound level by sending acoustic waves to counteract road and engine noise.
The 2018 model brought the second generation of Traverse and is a great year to consider, especially if you’re searching for that beefed-up Bose sound system. It is standard on the LT Leather, RS, Premier, and High Country trims. That means a lot of used Traverses at Chevy dealerships offer this outstanding music experience. These high-end 2018 Traverse trims also have other perks like a standard power liftgate, a 4.2-inch driver information center, leather-trimmed heated front seats, and a remote start. The Teen Driver package is also standard for your younger music fans who are learning to drive.

The Chevy Silverado and the NCAA Hall of Champions
To visit the NCAA Hall of Champions, choose a used Silverado for its exceptional rear-seat legroom. Even if you’re not into sports, there is no denying the popularity of college athletics, and the NCAA has both its national offices and a museum here. The Hall of Champions educates visitors on the 24 NCAA-regulated sports and is full of interactive exhibits to make that learning fun. When you need to get your tallest sports fans to this museum, consider a used Chevy Silverado.
Legroom is often a problem in pickups. But not so with the Silverado crew cab and double cab. These models have an outstanding 35.2 inches and 43.4 inches of rear legroom, respectively, and the front seats of both clock in at 44.5 inches. You can drive those tall sports fans to check out the NCAA Hall of Fame, and they’ll be just as comfortable as you are. The Silverado has been around since 1999––the same year the NCAA moved to Indy. The 2019 Silverado brought a full redesign and is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a used pickup. You should find plenty of used models here at Blossom Chevrolet, and the Work Truck, Custom, LT, LTZ, and High Country trims all come with both crew cab and double cab options.
Besides the comfortable rear seat legroom, used 2019 Silverado models with these larger cabs have other perks, like a minimum seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a WiFi hotspot, and available remote start. The highest level High Country comes standard with heated and ventilated leather-trimmed front bucket seats, heated rear outboard seats, and a heated steering wheel. It shoots; it scores!
The Chevy Corvette and the Indianapolis Speedway
Come on, this one was a gimme. What better way to get to the Indianapolis Speedway than in a Corvette? The Indianapolis Speedway has been leading the way in racing since 1909. It is the third-oldest permanent automobile racetrack in the world, the second banked oval track built anywhere, the first to be called a “speedway,” and the only sports venue that can seat 400,000 fans.
The Corvette’s history is just as rich. Introduced in 1953, “America’s Sports Car” is known for its distinctive design, made out of fiberglass, and for its powerful performance. No other mainstream American auto manufacturer is making a two-seat sports car because no one wants to compete with a classic. The latest major upgrade came in 2020, so when you’re looking at a used Corvette, the C7, made from 2014 to 2019, is an excellent choice. The 2019 model marked the last year that the Corvette had a front engine, and that engine, all new for the C7 generation, is a 6.2-liter V8 with 455 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque.
If you buy a 2019 Corvette, you’ll get aggressive styling that differs from many of the generations before, with a focus on the headlights, some funky, trapezoidal tail lights, and a quadruple-barreled tailpipe located in the center. The C7 is more aggressive than previous iterations, with a variety of air vents and gills to aid aerodynamics. It may be a bit different, but it is still a Corvette, and when you’re looking for a used model, the C7 is a great choice.
