Check Out What the 2025 Chevy Equinox Will Bring to the Road

For 20 years, the Chevy Equinox has been one of the most popular SUVs on the road—yet for the 2025 model year, it’s getting better than ever. If you’re interested in what you’ll be finding at a Chevy dealer near Beech Grove this year, then you’ve come to the right place; the 2025 Equinox looks amazing and will deliver the most advanced features we’ve ever seen on this model.
Chevy has redesigned the Equinox for 2025 with the launch of an all-new fourth generation that has us excited to experience everything this compact SUV has to offer. Whether you’re planning on picking up an Equinox this year or you’re simply interested in what’s coming soon to Chevy’s lineup, we’re here to take you through some of the highlights of this revamped model—a preview of how the Equinox will soon be better than ever.
A Gorgeous Redesign
The first thing you’ll probably notice about the 2025 Chevy Equinox, especially if you see it beside the previous year’s model, is the redesigned exterior. Chevy’s designers have taken inspiration from larger SUVs like the Traverse and their truck lineup to give the Equinox a bolder, more muscular look.
That includes the Equinox growing by more than two inches in width, providing it with a broader stance that’s strong and aggressive. This is paired with a broad-shouldered shape with bodylines designed to grab attention and catch your eye at a glance. One of our favorite things about the 2025 model is that the three available trims each have a distinct front fascia, giving them a unique appearance.
What’s more, the LT trim has standard chrome and High Gloss Black front grille finishes available, further letting you customize the look of your Equinox. You get all-LED lighting both front and back on the 2025 model, plus two-tone exterior colors available that let your vehicle truly pop. While 17-inch wheels are still standard for the 2025 model, 20-inch wheels are available for the first time ever on the Equinox, further elevating this beauty’s rugged good looks.

The New ACTIV Trim
We just mentioned that the 2025 Equinox now has three trims available, each with its own style, personality, and features. The one we might be the most excited about is the all-new ACTIV trim, offered for the first time this year on the Equinox. This is an outdoor-inspired trim that hits the road and trail with a unique front fascia, all-terrain tires, and other features that work beautifully for driving around Beech Grove or heading to your favorite campsite.
Blacked-out badging makes an immediate impression, with Maple Sugar and Black interior colors, along with premium Evotex upholstery and suede microfiber seating. Not only does this interior look stunning, but it’s easy to keep clean for outdoor or rugged lifestyles. Also, heated and ventilated front seats (and heated rear seats) are available, making this the perfect vehicle for adventures in both summer and winter.
Upgraded Interior Features
As great as the 2025 Chevy Equinox looks from the outside, somehow, it becomes even better the moment you open the door and sit inside it. Since most of your time with your vehicle is spent with you in the cabin, this makes perfect sense, and we love seeing Chevy’s attention to detail throughout every inch of the interior.
This starts with a redesigned space inside, including a dashboard that’s been pulled away to create a more spacious interior that’s immediately inviting and ensures you and your passengers have plenty of room. Best of all, the standard heated steering wheel and heated front seats are perfect for cold winter mornings.
The thing that’s likely to catch your eye the moment you sit inside the 2025 Equinox, however, is the gorgeous new 11.3-inch infotainment display right up front and center. Two things we love about this new display are that it’s angled slightly toward the driver’s seat, making it easier to see while you’re driving, and it’s much bigger than last year’s display—a standard 7.0-inch screen with an available 8.0-inch display is offered on the 2024 Equinox. This is joined by an 11.0-inch configurable Driver Information Center to provide you with a tremendous amount of information that’s easy to keep track of as you drive.
Elevated Safety Tech and Features
To us, nothing is more important about a vehicle than how well it can protect you on the road; gorgeous exterior design and innovative tech inside are all pointless if your vehicle doesn’t help keep you and your loved ones safe. Fortunately, Chevy agrees, and the 2025 Equinox has more standard safety features than ever before.
This starts with the Chevy Safety Assist suite, which includes a Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking, and Lane Keep Assist with a Lane Departure Warning to help you avoid drifting from your lane. Going even further, however, every 2025 Chevy Equinox comes with a number of additional standard features, such as a Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert to warn you if someone is lurking in your blind spot when you go to change lanes.
You also get a Side Bicycle Alert, which is perfect for city driving in Beech Grove or Indianapolis, plus Adaptive Cruise Control and Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking. You even get Rear Park Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Braking standard on every model, giving you enhanced safety to protect you and others on the road.

Impressive Power and Performance
Although the Equinox is a compact SUV, that doesn’t mean that Chevy has overlooked the importance of good performance and power in this ride. For the 2025 model, you get more options for how the Equinox performs, which gives you a vehicle that perfectly meets your needs. Every model comes with a 1.5L Turbo engine that delivers 175 hp, ensuring you have a great time on the road. Most models come with front-wheel drive (FWD), paired with a continuously variable transmission and tuned to provide 184 lb-ft of torque.
If you’re looking for enhanced performance, or you like the adventurous nature of the ACTIV trim, then you can get this same engine with all-wheel drive (AWD) rather than FWD. The 2025 Chevy Equinox with AWD features an engine tuned to deliver 203 lb-ft of torque, giving you enhanced performance for better traction and grip, which is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
For the first time ever, the 2025 Equinox also offers driver-selectable modes, including Normal and Snow on some FWD models, while AWD adds an Off-Road mode; these adjust propulsion and performance to adapt to road conditions and weather. All of this creates a fantastic driving experience and ensures you’re ready for whatever life throws at you.
Are You Ready for the 2025 Chevy Equinox?
As you can see, Chevy has gone above and beyond in redesigning the 2025 Equinox and making it the purest expression of everything possible with this sort of compact SUV. This update means more than simply a new look and enhanced features for the Equinox; with this redesign, every Chevy SUV is either new or has been refreshed in the last two years. There’s a reason so many drivers are excited about the modern Chevy lineup, and this sums it up perfectly.
Chevy is on a roll right now, bringing amazing vehicles to the market and updating them regularly to ensure they remain on the cutting edge of what’s possible. Whether you’re interested in a compact SUV like the Equinox or you want something larger like the revamped and updated 2025 Tahoe or Suburban, Chevy has you covered, and we’re here to help you find everything you’ve been looking for.
